The syntax is from VFP 3.0 when teh syntax was;

TableUpdate([lAllRows,][lForce,][cAliasName])

VFP 6.0 still supports the logical value for the first argument even though VFP now can use the numeric that provides tighter control over how TableUpdate() works.
