If this is not the proper area for such a question, someone please let me know. Example: I have a table with 140 rows in my main database that has a column ID that is a primary key. I have also created a table in tempdb with 30 rows that also has ID as a primary keys. I need to do a join between these 2 tables. In isql_w a join runs in a fraction of a second. If I use ODBC in an Access 97 front end with linked tables the query takes two full minutes. I think some type of per row table scan is going on here and I have no idea why. Perhaps one of you Visual Foxpro / sql gurus could help me out here. Thanks.
