Yeah, I've figured that out at this point. My problem with this was making the mental hurdle of why there are not referencing, philosophically, the same object. Using SCATTER NAME, neither object is being created from another object, yet they have the same "parent". So, my logic, albeit flawed I suppose, was that they should return .T.
Oh well. The problem was resolved.
