We currently have an application that was developed in Clipper and was migrated to VFP. We support 5 Thermal Label Printer Familys (Eltron,Intermec,Zebra,Sato,&Datamax). In Clipper we had to develop label definitons for each seprate printer. This methodology migrated to our Windows product as well. To do this we the label definiton through a bogus print driver. I now see that the above printers have windows print drivers. Is there a way to create one label definiton and send it to the Win API and let the driver translate printer specific commands. The VPF Report / Label designer does'n seem to work well for Complience / Carrier Barcode Labels. I am learning a little VC++ and it seems you can create a Print Device Context and make calls to the Win API. Is there a way in VFP.
