>I've learned that when developing an application that you know will be upsized, you should use local views in the data environment instead of tables. This will make upsizing easier. I think I saw this advice printed somewhere in the VFP 5.0 developer's guide manual.

Most of my devlopment (at least for now) will be non-Form related ...
meaning ... SQL passthrough. We have to populate the databases by importing data from various sources and then editing\adding records to the dataabses.

By editing I don't mean by user's ... doing SUM's, lookups, etc.

It does seem that VFP does make screens easy to implement when upsizing (although obviously I haven't tried it yet).

I'll either post my progress (or lack of progress) or even perhaps write something for contribution to help others that will try it after me.

Thanks,
Gene
