Allow me to play Devil's advocate (heck, I've been evil lately anyway). What would the market be for study guides at this time? The answer is, we don't know. Whil is in the business to make money. If there's not a large turnout for the beta period and/or subsequent production exams, then there is no market and he'd lose money. Some of the same considerations drive MS Press.

Now, OTOH, if 1000 people take the beta tests, a lot of people who could be involved in creating and publishing study guides may take notice.
