You can use COPY STRUCTURE EXTENDED to create a table with the specifications to enable you to recreate the original table. If you do this with both table1 and table2, then append the extended structure of table2 to the extended structure of table1, you could CREATE TABLE FROM the appended to extended structure table and end up with an empty table the structure of whick is the combination of the structures of the original two tables. Beware! There can't be duplicate field name entries in the extended structure table or CREATE TABLE FROM will fail.
