you are more likely to get a response to this question by creating a new thread. But here's the answer anyway:

When you recreate the cursor that a grid is based on, it destroys the cursor first, and the grid gets confused. The solutoin is to set the RecordSource =
"" before re-running your SQL, and then reset it afterwards.
