IMO, the set DELETE setting should default be set to ON. At regular time this default setting of off bites me. Because I use a framework, all framework forms already have a SET DELETE = ON command when the form loads.

But occasionally, if I use just a ordinary form with a private datasession, I forget to add SET DLETE ON within the form. In my case it is mostly not detected when developing apps, but alway when a client is working with it. Grmphh@###gr..

Here on the UT we are frequently confronted with questions which are related to private datasession and the scoped DELETE setting.

And don't come with the argument that this setting must stay set on OFF because of backward compatibility reasons, MS has already changed the default setting for SET CENTURY from OFF TO ON. IMO, There was less need to do so as with the SET DELETE setting.

So, please, VFP-Team, release us of this terrible beast.
