Depends on where you are here in the US. Some areas call it a pop, others a soda, others say Coke, even if Pepsi, which potentially opens the vendor up for a law suit. If you ask for a Coke and the vendor gives you a Pepsi without clarifying that you will get Pepsi, Coke can sue. That's how they reinforce their trademark.
