I have one client running an FPD2.5 app, plus the same app recompiled and tweaked under VFP5, against the same free tables on a Linux/Samba server. So far it has been trouble-free, which is probably one of the nicer things you can say about any server.

As for performance, they have 10-15 light users on it at any given time. Response is indistinguishable from the former NT box - it seems to depend mainly on the speed of the client workstation.

Unfortunately I don't have any information on relative performance under stress.
