>Please, I'd like to know if is it possible to send a report by e-mail? For example, generating a Word file, or something like that. I know that it's possible to generate a PDF file, but in this way, I need to have Adobe Acrobat, and I don't have the money to purchase it now. I'm searching for some free way to do it. Is there some way?

Several. If the file can be output as pure ASCII, you have the option that Cindy noted, the ASCII option of the REPORT command. It gives up any option as far as using any graphics, including boldfacing, and can be shockingly disappointing if you've not used monospaced fonts and have any alignment issues.

Another option that I've used in the past is to output a PostScript formatted file; this requires that you install a PostScript compatible printer driver on the workstation, and that you have a PostScript viewer (there's a freeware one called GhostScript available from most of the GNU sites; I like Walnut Creek at www.cdrom.com. Macs and Linux have PostScript viewers available as well.) If you use any fonts, you'll need to ensure that the recipient has the fonts installed on his system(s), and printing on a non-PostScript printer at the other end is a bit of a PITA, but is definitely doable. You'll want to create an EPS file (Encapsulted PostScript), which is natively supported by Windows as an output format.

You can also look at creating HTML (GenHTML.PRG, which accompanies VFP6, has limited support for converting reports) which would then be viewable using any browser.

>Thanks in Advance
