I need to build a small application that can run under several languages including languages that require a double-byte char set.

Looking in VFP doc, I understand that I can handle it in the database without problems (?).

I never worked with double-byte char sets. I wonder: Will I be able to do the following ?

I want to write a small routine in the init for each form that would go throught each objects on the forms. For each of these objects, it will read the corresponding translation in a local dbf and replace the caption (or text or whatever depending on the object type).

So it means that my double-byte char language string can be saved in a database and copy in the object caption property. From what I understand, it can be done.

? Am I right?
? Any particular problem working with double-byte char set ?
? Is there any additionnal info on this somewhere ?

Many thanks
Eric.
