when I go to a DOS window and type path it comes back with:

PATH=%SystemRoot%\system32; %SystemRoot%; %SystemRoot%\system32\nls\ENGLISH; %SystemRoot%\system32\nls; C:\BITWARE;Z:.;c:\tse32; c:\pkware\pkzipd; C:\PROGRA~1\ZTree\

For some reason it is not replacing the %SystemRoot% with the drive calls themselves ("C:\WINNT") on boot up or login or whatever. How do I make this happen? Seems like it worked last week..... don't know what I've changed........ If I enter "dir %SystemRoot%" I get the dir of c:\winnt, if I "cd %SystemRoot%\system32" I end up in C:\WINNT\system32. Since the path is (above) when I do something like ATTRIB in the command window it returns an error. Help!

Thanks

Jim
