I have a cable modem at home. My IP address lasts for 7 days if I don't reboot. If you're just doing testing or want to show someone your page, run PWS. Look up your IP address in winipcfg and tell them to type that number into the address of the browser.
Even if your cable company allows you to run a server, PWS is only allowed 10 users at a time, so it's not practical for a permanent web site. If that's what you want, you probably have to get a business account, and defintily need to get NT Server or Unix.
