Hi Tim:

Just back from vacation. Thanx for the input. Actually, we are almost set on what we need. I think we CAN do what we want, with some minor changes to our current practices. Just a few details to work out with the guy we just hired who has more VSS experience than we do so far.

When we get it running, I'll probably post some info here in case anyone else has our non-standard type of usage or needs similar non-standard behaviour...
