>Heh, The Gartner Group almost scuttled a project I was on a couple-three of years back. There must be some sort of intellectual inbreeding with these folks. While I'm sure they're a smart bunch they really should go do some real world development for a while to learn the difference between their theories (many good) and real-world survival and production.
You know, at my agency some years back the Gartner Group recommended NO MS products for applications at all. They recommended only PB and Sybase be used for all applications. It really made me wonder if there wasn't some collusion/payoff behind the scenes with Gartner and PB/Sybase...
