Don,

Can you post your SQL statement?

>I've used an Select statement to create a temporary database with an order set by the substr of an existing field which I rename. As it turns out in this case the substr portion I pull for certain records comes up as spaces which isn't a problem but the original order of the records gets changed somehow. I've checked to make sure there's no filter or index set currently on the file I'm getting the records from and verified the original order is what I'm expecting before I build but I can't see how the order of the records gets changed for the blank ones. Has anyone else run into this or am I doing a bone head type thing by ordering a file while in a select.
