>I am planning to write a file transmission program, however, I have no experience on it. What is your suggestion? Should I use MSComm32 only or API or MAPI or AT commands or buy 3rd product(but I am still looking for)? I am collecting all information about file transmission but almost all of them are telling me the method of control modem, not the way to transfer file. Is/Are there any book(s) talk about this topic?

I have written an app that xfers/receives files under FP2.6DOS. We use the SilverFox 3rd party communications library (PLB) to control the com ports, modems and file xfers. To ensure data integrity our xfer app accounts for the possibility of lost power or phone connections at any point. It is a comprehensive and fairly large program. We haven't started conversion to VFP5 yet. If you have questions I may be able to help.
