My client understands that nothing is totally secure. The next logical step is that since nothing is secure, why even try. Most clients realize that nothing is totally secure, but they like to be able to say "we employed encryption to help prevent your data from being viewed by prying eyes".

It's easier for a client to say "Some hacker broke our encryption scheme" than it is to say "We didnt employ encryption because the encryption would just get cracked anyway." Which statement is more likely to get the company sued ;)

MSDE just wont wont for my client. The app is already developed in VFP and takes advantage of Rushmore for particularly important functionality, which MSDE doesnt handle.
