Hi, John-
Easiest way I know:

Download MIRC at www.mirc.com

Set up the server (www.levelextreme.com) and room (#visualfoxpro)

Select File from the menu
Select Options
Find the IRC node (should be the 2nd one--after "Connect")
You'll have a series of checkmarks...They're pretty self-explanatory.

These are the ones I have checked:
Automatically log Channels
Strip Codes
Lock log files
Timestamp logs
Date filenames

It's been working really well for the study group.
