Thanks Ed,
Went to the NT FAQ site, but didn't find a specific reference to Win2000 with regards to the DOS question. Do you have personal experience with Win2000 running DOS 16 bit apps (such as Fox 2.6 and 2.6 for windows)? I hate bothering you, but people here are arguing about this, and our group really needs to know. Other state agencies are going to Win2000, and rewritting their apps would be very expensive if we have to do it sooner than later.

>>I've heard that Win2000 will not run DOS or 16 bit apps. I've been all over MicroSoft's site and can't find a clear statement about DOS and Win2000. Does anyone know the answer? Will Win2000 run DOS apps?

>Yes, you will be able to run well-behaved DOS apps and Win16 apps, as long as they don't upset he HAL by trying to get at the hardware or OS resources too directly. Check John Saville's NT FAQ for more details.
