>G believer in having role models (and my personal role models are the MVPs I love dearly as both friends & colleagues - not the M$ Fox Team). But perhaps maybe we ought to atleast give this a chance to see if M$ does get more involved with the various developer communities before we berate the downside of this decision to death?

>Stephen I whole heartedly agree with you. I'm just trying to humbly point out out it is very early yet in the wake of this decision, and if M$ does decide to stand behind this decision then perhaps they deserve atleast a small amount of time to put an alternative form of support into place. Granted I dont believe their support will be as good as what the MVPs have already done, and I will write my own letter saying so, but I'm also willing to give them a chance to make amends.
I was just reading the ZDNET article Nancy referred to in another post. There is one guy that is saying he is an VB MVP and that he is so pissed off he's going to redirect his efforts to helping people on the Java for Linux side. I think that either this is just a very nasty prank or that whoever made the decision didn't gave it much tought.
