I am experiencing the frustration of watching my app lose performance as I "upgrade" to a client server solution.



I am a bit confused here. I thought that one of the many benefitts of upgrdaing to SQL Server would have been increased performance.... what about all those queries that are 'done on the server' --> does'nt this reduce traffic on the network ---> means you end up with a lightening fast system with SQL SErver?


Have I missed out something here ?
