I do believe you, I never once said that grids work as fast as browses. I ran into the slow grid on one of the first serious apps I started developing in VFP3 and immediately switched to using p-views because of it.

I am saying though that browses "appear" to be blazingly fast because they don't get all the records to start. They only get enough to fill the display area allotted for them.
