i have a report in which i want to print small bmp's

actually the bmp's are printed on top of a line like:

---------BMP---------

the bmp's show up in preview but are not printed.
irrespective of size of bmp, tried changing to ic, same

what is causing this odd behaviour??
i'm printing to inkjet, not a matrix printer

should i change to jpeg?? or any other format.
also the bmp's allways show up with a small black line underneeth which i cannot explain.
