Change your DisplayValue properties to Value.

>Thisform.totalbdft.Value = val(thisform.bdft1.displayvalue)+val(thisform.bdft2.displayvalue)+val(thisform.bdft3.displayvalue)+val(thisform.bdft4.displayvalue)+val(thisform.bdft5.displayvalue)+val(thisform.c16.displayvalue)+val(thisform.bdft7.displayvalue)+val(thisform.bdft8.displayvalue)

>each of the bdft references is a textbox, as is totalbdft. i want the sum of the bdft boxes to show interactively in totalbdft. when i run this it tells me 'displayvalue not found'. should i be going at this a different way?
