Title:
Memory required for Rushmore
Hi
I'm having a problem whereby a SCAN is taking a *VERY* long time, and I suspect that this is due to RUSHMORE not being used. The Developers' Guide says:'When very large tables are being processed, Rushmore might not have enough memory to operate on smaller machine'.
The PC is a 450 MHz Pentium II with 32K Internal Cache, 512K external Cache and 64M Total memory. The DBF is 328,000K and the FPT is 231,000K. Does this qualify as a 'very large table' and a 'smaller machine'? Is the size of the FPT relevant i.e. Would removing it help ? Would closing down other tables help?
Does any body have any ideas on how I can speed the process up? All suggestions gratefully recieved.
Simon
