I tried your advice of deleting the foxuser.dbf and still had the problem. It happened whether SET RESOURCE was ON or OFF. The complete randomness of it is what is so strange. I can paste 1,3,5,4 etc. in a row and one does not "take." Sometimes the same field has to be pasted into 2 or 3 times before it stays put.

I'm considering doing away with the BROWSE's and using grid controls for this activity.
