I think you've missed the point here. Marcus made an outstanding contribution to the VFP community with GenRepoX. He's provided it to you at no charge. There's a mechanism for you to extend and enhance it. yet you fault him for not making this PD product into a commercial venture, and for not providing exactly the features you want.

Perhaps Marcus isn't interested in turning this into a comemrcial product. He's certainly busy enough with other products and projects, and while you might like this to be his number one priority, the reality is that it isn't, and he decides how his time should be spent.

No one forced you to use GenRepoX. If it meets your needs, it's there for your use. Apparently, it doesn't meet your needs, and the author isn't in a position to drop everything and make changes or enhancements to make it the product you'd like. While I'm sure you find that to be disappointing, you have other options - choosing another product that meets your needs better, enhancing the GenRepoX product to meet your needs, or writing your own replacement for it are at least three available options.

If this isn't acceptable to you, perhaps you'd prefer that none of the people who have offered freeware or shareware never release anything that doesn't exactly meet your needs? I'd rather not see this happen, either as a developer who uses such software, or as a freeware author. If this is the case, you can make the active choiuce not to use any freeware product, or commercial product for that matter, where the authors are not willing to drop everything to keep you happy. Of course, that might make VFP an untenable proposition in itself - while Microsoft does respond to its customers, VFP is not bug-free, and doesn't exactly meet my needs in all cases...
