It's not an option - none of the Linux Win32 emulators such as WINE will run a VFP application at present. Your choices for running VFP6 applications are Intel x86 and compatible processors running Win95, Win98, WinNT 4.0 or Windows 2000. In some cases (specifically, early releases of Win95 and Windows NT 4.0) you may have to apply services patches (in the case of Win95, at least Win95 SP1 if you're running the original retail Win95, and for NT 4.0, NT SP3) and optional components such as DCOM support before VFP applications will run properly.

You can host the data files on a Linux box, but not run the application on the Linux station.
