I'm not sure I've ever read that what you are looking for is guaranteed? I would be nervous about an application that relied on the order that records were returned from the SQL server (unless I set them with an ORDER BY).

I'm no SQL Server wizard, but it doesn't seem like SQL Server would always return the result sets in the same order in which they reside in the SQL Table?

Gurus... Am I wrong?
