>Here are some things to think about between Rose and GDPro. As a model grows, the model navigation aids that are part of Rose will become increasingly important. Rose offers: Report | Show Access Violations, Report | Show Instances, etc. Most tools don't offer this kind of help. In Rose, you can build your class model incrementally by creating new classes and new class methods in object interaction diagrams. To what degree can GDPro support this? How configurable is DPro? Does it offer a scripting language that can be used to generate GUI-based extensions to the base product, perform custom model checks, etc.? Is GDPro supported by a large group of 3rd-party partners who are integrating their products with the competition? One Link Partner of Rose is Ensemble Systems' Rose Link Planner, which enables users to maintain project management information as part of a Rose model. Also, Microsoft offers a Visual Foxpro add-on to Rose. Rose integrates with a coherent suite of

RR & VFP are not as easy as they say it is. RR & VB is tough and you are getting a hybrid of that tool in the VFP one by M$. That M$ tool was to make their interaction with VM work, not RR.

I had RR do a dog and pony show back in March for my user group. It's a wow what they sell. It's sticker shock to pay for it too!!!

GD Pro I have never seen or used. have you looked at Visio? With it being purchased by M$ recently it may be the best free ware ( in any developer kit that is ) that you might get.

What are you expecting RR to accomplish for you? BTW Rose doesn't do CRC diagrams.

Another to look at is System Architect by Poplikin or Poplin ???
