>>One of my client has a Fujitsu DL3450 printer. We print locally. We have NT Workstation. When we print from a DOS shell, the alignment and speed is ok. When printing from a Windows application, the alignment is offset and the speed is one line at a time (15 second between lines).

>>The driver installed is the based driver from this printer. I am installing the latest driver I took from the Website.

>Michel, I'd guess that it's one of two things, either the driver itself, which doesn't use the native fonts, or port configuration, and with the bad taste left in my mouth by Fujitsu drivers before IU'd bet on the first.
>
>First step - try installing the printer with the Generic/Text only drive. if the problem clears up immediately, that's the ticket. Find a compatible driver that's more cooperative -as I remember, the Fujitsu DMPs behaved a lot like the Epson LQ1500 or LQ2500, and could also emulate the IBM ProPrinter. I'd paly with these drivers first.

>If the printer drive isn't at fault, the Fujistsu printers used to have a really annoying setup which could mess you up doing graphics, printing unidirectionally with some dithering used for enhaced print detail to reduce noise. Try playing with the Page Setup property sheet in your application to adjust the dot resolution and disable 'quiet mode'.

We finally solved this problem by using the appropriate emulation on MENU 1 of the printer. We use the DPL emulation.
