I think what Bruce is referring to is the MSDN Library Subscription. Office 2000 and VS 6.0 user's can sign up for one free year at:

If you've never had access to this (and qualify for it), GET IT!. This is an extremely useful tool. All the docs, the MS KB, technical papers, partial books, etc., etc. And it's updated quarterly!
