They would award $250 bonus for each MCP designation and $1,000 bonus + immediate salary review if MCSD or MCSE...so there can be a tangible benefit even if you're happily employed. Plus, your employer can put your certification on the "dramatis personae" part of it's proposals which gives them a little extra weight.
