Thanks, Ed. This at least gives me some idea where to start. The problem occurs on a laptop, so changing the video card is out. Maybe there are updated drivers. I'll also experiment with the printer settings. Once it starts happening, it also crashes if I try to print the report.

I wonder if it's a memory leak in the drivers.....
