Are you using a Mr.Bubble sort in that bath routine?

>I have the following situation - I have an order screen with an accompanying orders table. I am using optimistic row buffering in the table. In my save routine I call the tableupdate. The situation is that user could be using the order table when I am doing a batch update process. The batch process goes thru all the records update the shipon date. Do you think if would be advisable to make it so that the batch process has to have exclusive use to make sure that all the records are update and not have to be concern with tableupdate failing and having to deal with that in the batch process.
