>Not sure if this will help, but I saw a utility in PC Magazine a couple of months ago that was designed to test for an open (existing) WIN95 window, to prevent a user from starting an app more than once. Perhaps this could be modifed for your use

Thanks for your response, but I don't want to prevent the user
from starting a new DOS session, I want Fox to use an existing
DOS session to run a DOS program.
