>I see in the newspaper today that Houston has wrested the title of "Smoggiest City" away from LA. 46 days of high ozone readings for the year, vs. 43 for LA. But there's still 2 months left for LA to take the title back! :)

I never said Houston's air was clean. If the air quality wasn't bad enough, the Houston Port Authority wants to expand the ship channel to bring in more freight. Just what Houston needs, more cargo ships, trains and trucks.

If we don't get some rain and wind soon, LA won't be able to catch us. This year is the worst I've seen in years. We are WAY behind on our rain fall, sitting below a high pressure system for most of the summer. Almost no wind to blow the pollution out the surrounding country.
