Nothing is further from the truth than that. GenRepoX has a driver model that makes it very extensible. So Vidar could simply add that functionality and make it available to everybody.

Also, I wouldn't have a problem putting his enhancements into the product in case that's what he would like me to do (I wasn't under that impression BTW).

So I don't see the issue, to be honest.
