I-285 (aka The Permieter) goes around Atlanta, but the metropolitan area has long ago sprawled way out beyond it. People who know about such things say that we have the worst traffic in the country. Worse than LA.

We have 3 Interstates intersecting here - I-75, I-85 & I-20. Roads just have not caught up to the massive growth that we have experienced. And now the Feds are taking away our money to build new roads. C'est la vie.
