I am trying to install NT Option Pack 4.0, to get Internet Information Server 4.0. My machine has SP5 already installed. When I run the Option Pack install, I get the message:"This has not been tested on SP4 or higher, are your sure you want to install?". Since I know of no other Option Pack higher than 4.0, I don't think I have a choice. I can't consider downgrading to SP3, because my SQL Server 7.0 needs SP4.
I answered "Yes" to the warning, and the install continues ok, except at the end, at the very last tick on the progress bar, it stops. No message, no harddrive activity, no cpu usage, nothing. I've let it sit for quite a while like this, nothing ever happens. If I end-task it, IIS is not installed.
I'm *very* new to NT, and don't know what to do. Any help?
