Actually, the original question was pros and cons of VB front-end vs. VFP front-end with SQL Server 7.0 on the back. I interpret the original as referring to two-tier (in fact the post doesn't say). You said to me in a different message that VFP offers some advantages on the front-end due to inheritance. The rest of the discussion you've said that VB makes a better middle-tier than VFP because VB can raise events. I don't dispute that creating events can make the middle-tier easier. I just don't see where it makes that big of a difference.
