Well, Let's say you've got a modeless searchbox like in word and you want to display the found record in the firstrow of the grid without having the grid get the focus.
therefore it's handy (though there are other clumsy possibilities to accomplish this), to have a relativerow. Too me if a grid has lost the focus, it still has an active row (see the record marker). Not being able to track this active row bites me once in a while.
I use a rectangle to implement a incremental search grid with a solid record marker (like in a list, and that can be implemented with the Dynamicbackcolor properties). The record marker follows the activerecord. I've got to do a lot of stuntwork to let the solid recordmarker follow the activerow. Not being able to retrieve the relativerow is in my case a real pain.
I'm only asking for an enhancement on the relativerow property, not a total change.
