After finding your post, I went back through our code and revised all the type() calls against arrays as you suggested. I now test type("alen()") instead. Even though I don't use A/A methods much currently, I'd hate to have a latent bug waiting to bite me! THANKS for the "heads up"! I'm just sorry it didn't help Nancy.
