No matter what you do, you'll have to make sure that the barcode font is available to the printing application. In most cases, this means the font should be installed on the printing machine, but certain applications are able to read fonts that are imbedded inside a document. For this, you might want to look at printing via Adobe Acrobat. The Acrobar distiller has an option to imbed the font into the document.
