I would not try to develop reports to be printer specific. Just design your reports, then before you send them with your app for installation, do the following:

use myreport.frx && open the report as a table
replace next 1 tag with "", tag2 with ""
edit field expr
* then, in the first record only, open this memo field and delete the first 3 lines. they look something like:

DRIVER=winspool
DEVICE=HP DeskJet 880C
OUTPUT=USB/DeskJet 880C/MX92Q1W0HTGE
