Go to the MS site and order the cd. You get MSDE with other the SQL server services like query analyzer, sql enterprise manager ect. I tried downloading MSDE and all I got was MSDE and no interface. In this case I think you use VB's built in interface to SQL server for creating tables and so on.

What I got on the CD looks like the complete SQL SErver from what I can tell based on limited expierence with trial versions of SQL 7. Anyway, get the CD and you'll be very happy.

There used to be some free training material on VFP with SQL server at the AppDev site. Also, there is a new book coming out from Hentzenwerke on VFP with Sql server.
