Michelle, are you starting a new thread in the old one? :-)

If your view uses SELECT * in the definition, then adding or deleting a field from an underlying table will cause the view to go into an error state, one ofthe effects of which, you update settings get lost. If you use eView, it knows how to restore view settings from this state.
